About this listing

The Sofitel Jequitimar Guarujá is a premier resort destination located in the Balneário Praia do Pernambuco, offering a sophisticated blend of contemporary French design and Brazilian coastal beauty. Known for its expansive views of the Atlantic Forest and the ocean, this establishment provides a high-end environment for travelers seeking both relaxation and religious infrastructure. For the Pesach 2024 season, the resort transforms into a full-service kosher destination, catering to the specific needs of the observant Jewish community with world-class amenities and rigorous kashrut standards.

Guests can enjoy a serene atmosphere characterized by luxury accommodations, including rooms with private balconies and soaking tubs. The resort's commitment to excellence is reflected in its partnership with renowned brands like L'Occitane for its spa services, ensuring a revitalizing experience for all attendees of the Passover program.

About the area

Situated in the state of São Paulo, Guarujá is one of Brazil's most famous coastal cities, often referred to as the "Pearl of the Atlantic." The Balneário Praia do Pernambuco neighborhood is particularly sought after for its exclusivity and natural scenery. While Guarujá is a popular vacation spot, the Jewish community of nearby São Paulo frequently visits the area, especially during holiday periods like Pesach and Sukkot. The drive from the capital city takes approximately 90 minutes, making it an accessible retreat for the large Jewish population centered in neighborhoods like Higienópolis and Jardins.

During the Passover program, the resort serves as a self-contained Jewish hub. The presence of a temporary synagogue and communal dining areas creates a warm environment for the "Sefard" and "Ashkenaz" communities alike. The proximity to the Atlantic Forest provides a quiet backdrop for prayer and reflection away from the urban bustle of São Paulo.
