Pesach Program Booking Checklist: What to Confirm Before You Pay
Almost every Pesach booking problem comes from something that was assumed rather than confirmed. Work through this list with each operator and get the answers in writing. Nothing here is a judgement about any program — it is simply what differs from program to program.
Dates and stay
- Exact check-in and check-out dates and times
- Number of nights in the package
- Whether optional nights before or after Pesach are available, and their cost
- Whether a partial stay is possible and how it is priced
Price and what it covers
- Price basis: per person or per room, and at what occupancy
- Child and teen pricing, with the age bands that apply
- Room category quoted, and the price for the category you need
- Taxes, service charges and gratuities — included or added
- Currency, deposit, payment schedule and the final total in writing
Kashrut
Publication of a listing on goKosher is not kashrut certification. Kashrut details are what the operator states; confirm them directly and, if it matters to you, with the certifying authority.
- Which supervision the program operates under for these dates
- Whether the kitchen is dedicated for Pesach and by whom it is kashered
- Gebrokts policy, and whether non-gebrokts meals are separately provided
- Kitniyot policy for Sephardi and Ashkenazi guests
- Cholov Yisroel, Pas Yisroel and shmura matzah arrangements
- Whether outside food or a private kitchenette is permitted
Religious arrangements
- Minyanim: nusach, times and whether there is more than one
- Seder arrangements: communal, private tables, or both
- Shiurim and scholars in residence
- Eruv, mikvah access and Shabbat lift or key arrangements
Rooms and accommodation
- Exact room configuration and maximum occupancy
- Connecting or adjoining rooms, availability and cost
- Cots, extra beds and any charge for them
- Whether all guests are in the main building
Children and activities
- Kids club age bands, hours and Yom Tov coverage
- Babysitting availability and cost
- Chol Hamoed excursions: included or paid, and suitable ages
- Evening entertainment and teen programming
Logistics and terms
- Airport transfers: included, paid or not offered
- Whether flights are part of the package
- Cancellation terms, dates and refund policy in writing
- Travel insurance requirements
- Who your contact is before and during the program

Popular programs and family room types are usually taken first. If you need connecting rooms or a specific category, ask early — availability, not price, is what runs out.
