About this listing

The Alexis Park Resort Hotel in Clark County, Nevada, serves as the host venue for a comprehensive Pesach 2024 experience. This program, organized by The Shabbat Inc, is designed to bring together Jewish families from across the globe in a setting that emphasizes unity and spiritual growth. Located near the central hub of Las Vegas, the resort provides a spacious environment for guests to observe the holiday without the distractions of a typical casino layout, as it is a non-gaming all-suite property.

With a focus on health and religious observance, the program integrates high-level kashrut standards with organic dining. The mission of the organizers is to create a joyous and nurturing atmosphere where guests can participate in traditional holiday observances, educational content, and communal celebrations. The combination of a resort setting and a dedicated religious program makes it a notable destination for those seeking a structured and spiritual Passover in the Western United States.

About the area

Situated in Clark County, Nevada, the hotel is positioned just off the main Las Vegas Strip. This location offers the benefit of being close to the city's major attractions while providing a more controlled and private environment suitable for a religious holiday program. Las Vegas has a growing and vibrant Jewish community, with established infrastructure including the Young Israel of Las Vegas and several Chabad houses located within a short drive of the resort corridor.

The proximity to McCarran International Airport makes this a convenient location for international travelers. Being in the heart of the region allows guests to experience the unique desert climate of Nevada. The surrounding neighborhood provides a blend of hospitality services and accessibility to the broader South Nevada Jewish community, ensuring that participants are never far from necessary resources or community landmarks during their stay.

Nearby Jewish landmarks

Clark County acts as the gateway to the greater Las Vegas valley, providing proximity to both the famous Strip and the residential Jewish hubs. Visitors can easily access established Jewish infrastructure in areas like Summerlin or Henderson, which are home to various Chabad centers and community synagogues. For those looking to explore beyond the hotel grounds, the Las Vegas area offers unique sites such as the Holocaust Memorial Plaza and various kosher markets that serve the local community year-round.

Natural landmarks are also within reach for those participating in the program's organized excursions. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and the Hoover Dam provide scenic day trips for families. During the intermediate days of Pesach (Chol HaMoed), these locations offer a refreshing contrast to the urban energy of the city, allowing guests to appreciate the desert landscape of Nevada while remaining within reach of their kosher accommodations.

What to expect

Guests can expect an environment tailored strictly to the needs of the Passover holiday. The culinary program is a central feature, utilizing 100% organic ingredients and adhering to Glatt Kosher and Cholov Yisroel standards. The Shabbat Inc uses its own dedicated Pesach catering equipment to ensure the integrity of the kitchen. Dining takes place in bright, airy spaces, including a tea room with high vaulted ceilings and a juice and smoothie bar that operates throughout the day to keep guests refreshed between formal meals.

Religious life is supported through organized services and the provision of various prayer books, including Ashkenaz, Sephardi, and Chabad traditions. The program is designed to be inclusive of different minhagim (customs) while maintaining a high standard of communal observance. For families and individuals, the resort offers lifestyle amenities such as separate swimming times for men and women. Additionally, for those planning to travel during Chol HaMoed, the program provides boxed lunches, ensuring that kashrut needs are met even when away from the hotel premises.
