About the area

Situated technically on the border of Petah Tikva and Hod Hasharon, the Sharonim Mall is a strategic location for those navigating the central region of Israel. The area is highly accessible via major highways, making it a frequent stop for those commuting between Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, and the surrounding suburbs. Petah Tikva itself is known as "Em HaMoshavot" (Mother of the Colonies) and boasts a rich history of religious life and established Jewish infrastructure.

Petah Tikva is home to a large and vibrant religious community, with a wide network of synagogues, yeshivot, and kosher certified businesses. The city's proximity to other major Jewish centers like Bnei Brak further enhances its appeal to those looking for a comprehensive kosher environment. The Sharonim Mall serves this community by offering a clean, modern, and climate-controlled environment that respects the needs of the Shomer Mitzvot public.

The mall provides ample parking and is served by several bus lines, ensuring that visitors can reach the cafe with ease. For those staying in the Center District for Shabbat or holidays, the nearby neighborhoods offer numerous options for Tefillah and community engagement, even while the mall itself operates according to standard commercial hours.

Nearby Jewish landmarks

Petah Tikva is a major hub of religious and cultural life in Israel's Center District. Near the Sharonim Mall, visitors can find numerous synagogues catering to various Ashkenazi and Sephardic traditions, reflecting the city's diverse population. The area is well-serviced by local Eruvin and is home to a significant number of families who maintain a Shomer Shabbat lifestyle.

For those interested in Jewish history, the city offers several landmarks related to the First Aliyah. The Great Synagogue of Petah Tikva, located in the older part of the city, serves as an architectural and spiritual centerpiece. Additionally, the city features several Mikvaot and religious study halls (Batei Midrash) within a short driving distance from the mall area.

Shopping and convenience are major draws for this location. The Sharonim Mall itself is one of the region's premier shopping destinations, providing a concentrated selection of retail outlets alongside its kosher dining options. This makes it an efficient stop for travelers who need to combine errands with a reliable dairy meal.

What to expect

Visitors to Cafe Greg Lemhadrin can expect a contemporary Israeli cafe experience characterized by a wide selection of dairy and Parve options. The menu traditionally includes the famous Israeli breakfast, served throughout the day, which typically features eggs, a variety of small salads, cheeses, and freshly baked bread. For those visiting during lunch or dinner, the kitchen produces a range of pastas, pizzas, and Mediterranean-inspired salads.

The atmosphere is designed to be welcoming and efficient. The interior usually features modern decor with comfortable seating suitable for both casual meetings and more formal family gatherings. Because it is located within a mall, the cafe often hums with activity, yet it remains a popular choice for those looking for a relatively quiet corner to enjoy a meal away from the main shopping aisles.

Expect attentive service from staff who are accustomed to serving the religious public and understanding of specific kashrut inquiries. In addition to full meals, the cafe is well-regarded for its coffee and dessert menu, featuring various cakes and pastries that are perfect for a mid-afternoon break.
