About

Led by Rabbi Mendel and Basya Feldman for over 15 years, Chabad of the Maritimes is a warm and inclusive center for all Jews in the region. We offer a wide range of services including daily minyanim (on request), Shabbat services, and a vibrant "Chabad at DAL" program for university students. Visitors to Halifax will find a "home away from home" here, with holiday programs, adult education, and a Judaica gift shop. Whether you are visiting for the history of Pier 21 or the beauty of the Atlantic, Chabad Halifax is here to welcome you.

About the provider

Since their arrival in Halifax, the Feldmans have worked tirelessly to grow a small student gathering into a robust community center. From tearing down a dilapidated house to build the current Chabad House to hosting hundreds for Passover Seders, they have made a lasting impact on Jewish life in Nova Scotia.
