Beit Lubavitch Copacabana was established in January 2008 with the arrival of Rabbi Ilan and Deby Stiefelmann. Since then, it has become the primary spiritual and social hub for Jewish travelers visiting Rio's world-famous coastline.We pride ourselves on being a "home away from home" for thousands of visitors each year—from Israeli backpackers to international business executives. Our center is more than just a synagogue; it is a vibrant community space where we offer adult education, youth programs (including CTeen), and specialized support for tourists.
