Beit Chabad Manaus is dedicated to serving every Jew in the Amazon region and the thousands of travelers who visit this unique part of the world. Led by Rabbi Arieh and Dvorah Lea Raichman, our center provides a warm Jewish connection in one of the most remote locations on earth. We offer daily prayer services, a traveler’s lounge, and a specialized kosher store. Whether you are arriving for a river cruise, a jungle trek, or a business trip, we provide the essential infrastructure for a Jewish life in the jungle, including Shabbat hospitality and expert local advice for Jewish travelers.About the provider
Rabbi Arieh Raichman (a Texas native) and his wife Dvorah Lea moved to Manaus in 2009 to re-ignite Jewish life in the Amazon. Their work spans from supporting the descendants of 19th-century Moroccan Jewish "Rubber Barons" to providing kosher logistics for modern eco-tourists. They are the only permanent Chabad presence in the Brazilian Amazon, covering an area larger than many European countries.Kashrut & dining
