A holiday best enjoyed is one with amazing food and being spoilt with lavish meals. All our guest will get to enjoy the meals of our famous Israeli chef. Start your day with an elaborate dairy breakfast with cholov israel cheeses and spreads, classic Israeli egg dishes. freshly baked breads and pastries and nutritious salads, veggies and fruit. For lunch we allow the unthinkable: take all you want from breakfast. Every guest get their own lunch packets to fill up as much as they want. After the days activities we serve a gourmet hot fleishig dinner where all your food fantasies come to live. The cuisine highlight of the week: shabbat meals. We will lift you up, no only spiritually but also culinary.

Berlin as a city has endless activities and places for tourists to see and experience. We want all our guests to do exactly that. Join us for a classic sightseeing tour of all major sights of the city. However we would not be the first ever luxury Jewish heritage tour if we would not offer exactly that: intriguing and fascinating tours of all the Jewish history Berlin has to offer, and there is a lot. We want to show you the historical parts of the Jewish history and Jews in Berlin but want to show the modern ways of Jews in Berlin as well. This tour is offered to all our guests for free. But no day is like the other: each day our guest will have a choice of activities to partake, if they wish (at additional cost). The summer is great for family outings such as the Zoo, farms or fun parks. The sights and attractions in Berlin are endless so we will make sure to pick the best for you each day.

About the provider
Summer in Berlin might not seem like an obvious choice, but if you want warm sunny days, plenty to see and do, five star luxury and kosher full board then Kosher by Shula at The Intercontinental is the perfect summer break for your family. Mother-and-daughter team Shula and Dana have worked closely with the hotel to create a package for kosher families this August. Running from 11 August – 1 September, Kosher by Shula will occupy 100 bedrooms, an exclusive dining hall and a VIP lobby in the luxurious hotel, which sits next to the Tiergarten Park and is in walking distance of Brandenburg Gate. There will be Shabbat services, a large Friday night dinner, a Shabbat kiddush, evening entertainment and interesting talks. Guests will be able to take a packed lunch when they go out to explore the city. There is a huge amount of Jewish history in Berlin, from the stolpersteine (golden plaques on the cobblestones with names of holocaust victims) and the Jewish Museum to the Neue Synagogue and the Holocaust Memorial. There are many options for Jewish heritage tours.
Shula was born in Russia and emigrated to Israel in the 70s. Dana was born there but the family moved to Germany when she was a baby. They have friends, family, business interest and a home in Israel, and play an active role in the 20,000-strong Jewish community in Berlin.
“I grew up in a traditional Jewish modern orthodox home,” says Dana, who lives in a suburb with her family. “However a few years ago my mother started to do some learning and has now become Haredi. She is extremely creative and full of great ideas. The Intercontinental is where a lot of Jewish functions and events take place, so it seemed the natural fit for this three-week kosher takeover.”
