DAY 1: Monday - Cape Town

Check in today as your South African journey begins! After briefly settling in and meeting your fellow travellers, we head off for a tour of the city. You'll see the iconic Table Mountain, the beautiful coastline and learn about the rich culture. Next Stop is the buzzing V & A Waterfront (named after King Alfred and Queen Victoria of England - South Africa used to be an English Colony!) where you'll enjoy lunch by the ocean, and maybe start some shopping :) From there it's off to Robben Island, a prison aisle where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years in prison, where you'll learn more about the Apartheid. To end the day there'll be dinner, drinks and icebreakers to get to know each other a bit better.

DAY 2: Tuesday - Cape Town

After breakfast we'll head off for a hike up Lion's Head, and enjoy the magnificient view from the top. Don't worry, the hike shouldn't take more than 90 minutes! From there we'll explore the botanical gardens of Kirstenbousch where we'll eat lunch. After that, it's off to Boulders Beach - a beach filled with wild African Penguins. Then it's time to step foot on Table Mountain. From there we'll have dinner at Cape Town's Famous Kosher Restaurant - Avrons.

DAY 3: Wednesday - Mossel Bay

We wave goodbye to Cape Town and take the scenic route East along the coast to Mossel Bay. On the way we'll visit the Oudtshoon's Cango Caves, along with its Crocodile and Ostrich Farms. Who's up to Cage Diving with a croc or riding an ostrich?? After the long day of driving we'll stretch our legs at George Mall (and maybe catch a movie) before heading home for supper.

DAY 4: Thursday - Mossel Bay

For those who want to keep up their fitness, the day will start with a morning beach run! After that (and a good breakfast) we'll be off to visit one of the largest monkey and bird sanctuaries in the world. From there we'll visit the waterfalls of Storms-river and the Tsitsikamma forest, and end the day with a drive through Nature's Valley.

DAY 5: Friday - Johannesburg

Say Goodbye to the beach as we fly to Johannesburg - City of Gold! In the richest and most densely populated city in South Africa, we'll squeeze in a city tour before we bring in Shabbas. Tonight we'll daven and eat with the local Jewish Community - famed to be the friendliest in the world!

DAY 6: Saturday - Johannesburg

After sushi and cocktails at the Young Adult Minyan's Kiddish (and hopefully some new friends) we'll spend lunch together and try get in a Shabbas shloff. Tonight we hit the town at a popular upper-class bar or taste real African nightlife getting a beer in the township Soweto.

DAY 7: Sunday - Johannesburg - FREE DAY

Today it's upto you. Take the day easy after a long night or do some exploring. Optional excursions include the Apartheid Museum, Gold Reef City Theme Park, Rosebank African Art and Flea-market and Sandton City Shopping Mall. We'll share our stories and experiences over dinner!

DAY 8: Monday - Kruger National Park

Today we drive to one of the Largest Game Reserves in Africa. Here you'll go on game drives and try to spot the Big 5 - Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo - in their natural environment. We'll do a night drive after settling in, and have traditional Braai for supper.

DAY 9: Tuesday - Kruger

The animals don't like the midday heat and the best time to catch them is the morning! Expect a 5:30am wakeup and early morning game drive - don't worry we'll be back for brunch and a nap. For those eager to get back into the wild there'll be a night drive, where you can see the big cats getting ready to find their prey...

DAY 10: Wednesday - Johannesburg - Return Home

After a final Game Drive we'll wish the wildlife goodbye as it's the last day of our trip. We'll drive back to Johannesburg, exchange details with our new friends and make our way back home. We'll never forget the things we saw, people we met and adventures we had.
