About
An unparalleled experience deep into the heart of East Africa to Tanzania, the famous †˜Land of The Lion King' and †˜Rolls Royce' of all game reserves Tanzania's world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Experience the calm rhythm of life in the heart of the world of nature and throng of herds that will forever fill the imagination. This is a place from which no person returns unchanged.
Famous for its annual migration of over 1.5 million white-bearded wildebeest and 250,000 zebra as well as numerous Nile crocodile and honey badger, the Serengeti National Park is a place like no other on the face of the earth.
The remarkable herds of animals that migrate around this region by far outnumbers anything of its kind on the planet. Those few who are lucky enough to witness this spectacle can testify to what a life-changing experience it is.
Most of our Tanzania safari will be spent in Serengeti itself, as well as in the famous Ngorongoro Crater to the south, enjoying what is truly the greatest wildlife show on earth, and some spectacular scenery along the way, all in magnificent luxury hotels with our famous freshly prepared gourmet kosher cuisine.
Without any doubt this exclusive Tour can be described as the "Rolls Royce† of Safari offerings!
Day 1 : Kilimanjaro
On arrival in the late afternoon, we hope for clear skies and a fantastic view of that icon of equatorial Africa- the highest point on the continent with its snow-capped peak - the top of Mount Kilimanjaro!
Days 2-3 Arusha National Park
On Friday we explore the refreshingly green forests and mountains of the Arusha National Park, home to many large mammals, such as giraffe and zebra, as well as primates such as the unique Colobus "black and white† monkeys.
In addition to the gorgeous scenery and exotic wildlife this amazing nature park has to offer, on a clear day, its views of Arusha's signature volcano, Mount Meru, and the nearby Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, can be absolutely breathtaking!
In the afternoon, we drive through the "Great African Rift Valley†, the massive fault-line that extends from Southern Africa through to Northern Israel, and up to the Ngorongoro Highlands Region, where we check into our lovely mountain hotel for a memorable Shabbat at the magnificent lodge.
Day 4:Ngorongoro Crater
This morning, we drive up to the top of the highlands that forms the rim of this unique volcanic crater and descend its steep escarpment into an island haven for countless species of animals.
Ngorongoro Crater is known to contain the greatest concentration of animals in the world year-round, since in this protected and fertile environment, animals seldom have reason to leave. Here, in but a few short hours one can usually see an incredibly diverse number of unique species.
This crater is also the best place in the ecosystem to see the highly endangered rhino, where the protected and controlled environment keeps it relatively safe from poachers. The lake at its center makes an incredible feeding ground for large groups of flamingo, often observed from the top of the crater as an unending sea of pink!
DAY 5-8 Serengeti
On Monday, our day begins with a hearty breakfast, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. We'll start by visiting an authentic Masai village where we immerse ourselves in their rich culture, gaining insight into their ancient way of life and traditions.
Next, our path leads us straight into the breathtaking expanse of the Serengeti National Park, where endless savannahs stretch as far as the eye can see.
Here, amidst the majestic beauty of the African wilderness, we'll spend two nights surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature at its most pristine.
In addition to witnessing the iconic Great Migration, the Serengeti boasts an abundance of resident wildlife, from graceful antelopes and gazelles to the mighty lion and elusive leopard. With each safari drive, we'll seek out these magnificent creatures, marveling at their beauty and grace in their natural habitat.
Our accomodation in the Serengeti includes a stay at a comfortable tented camp/lodge/hotel inside the park, offering an immersive experience unlike any other.
Prepare to be enchanted by the magic of the Serengeti as we create memories to last a lifetime amidst the untamed splendor of Africa's most iconic landscape.
About the provider
Gourmet Kosher Safaris is a name synonymous worldwide with continual innovation, absolute reliability and unwavering dedication to the highest standards of kashrut, cuisine, accommodation and overall travel experience - no matter where you go.
Our founder
"‹In 2001, Rav Yoni Isaacson decided to share his passion for travel, wildlife and gourmet cuisine...
...and boy are we glad he did! Armed with nothing more than his extensive knowledge of geography and halacha, a heightened sense of appreciation for fine cuisine and lots of confidence, he started a little business that has grown into one of the most respected luxury kosher travel companies in the world.
"‹GKS was born when Rabbi Yoni Isaacson pioneered the first Gourmet Kosher Africa Safari in 2001. That unforgettable experience soon became highly sought-out by kosher travelers across the globe and it didn't take long for GKS to became the leading name in luxury kosher eco-tourism.

Religious life & Shabbat
"‹Where unavailable, or if logistically more suitable, we take a registered mashgiach with us from another recognized kashrut authority.
Our meals are prepared fresh on site in the presence of a full-time mashgiach. At GKS there is no pre-cooked food brought in from the cities, and certainly no doubling up of the guide or host as mashgiach.
All meat is glatt by default, fresh baked products are pas Yisroel. Regular milk is only used when our kosher certifier permits it on the basis of the ruling of Rav Moshe Feinstein zt'l. Chalav Yisroel lechumra is available in most venues on special request.
Although we are subject to local import regulations and availability in all the regions we visit, nonetheless, we spare no effort or reasonable expense to source the wide variety of kosher products required for a high-end culinary experience, including importing kosher meats, wines, and dairy products from the nearest or most suitable country with a viable Jewish community life.
Of course, despite our uncompromising efforts, when unavoidable limitations exist, such as the beef ban in India and ban on importing raw red-meats into the Galapagos, then our menus are adapted accordingly with every effort made to minimize the impact on the variety of quality dishes we serve.
When local quality kosher baked goods are unavailable, our own pastry chef bakes fresh breads and pastries daily.
We strive where-ever logistically possible to serve quality lunch spreads where-ever we happen to be for the day. Where not possible, packed lunches are provided.
By default, our tours include all drinks at meals, quality locally available wines at dinner, and snacks and bottled water on demand during excursions.
