Nature, Island Culture, and Time to Celebrate Life by the Ocean

Day 1: Arrival in Kauai & Welcome Dinner

  • Arrival at Lihue Airport on the island of Kauai, often called the “Garden Isle” for its lush mountains and dramatic coastline.

  • After arrival, time to settle into our beachfront hotel, relax, and enjoy the ocean setting that will accompany us during our stay on Kauai.

  • In the evening, the group gathers for the first shared experience of the journey, a Kosher welcome dinner.

Later, a traditional Hula performance introduces the music and storytelling traditions of Hawaii.

Day 2 Kauai’s North Shore – Rivers, Farms & Coastal Vistas
The north shore of Kauai is shaped by deep valleys, taro fields, and coastal cliffs that rise above the Pacific.​

​ A visit to a local farm introduces Kauai’s agricultural traditions and tropical produce grown in volcanic soil.

  • A peaceful river journey to the Fern Grotto follows along the Wailua River, surrounded by lush jungle scenery.

  • Stops along the North Shore include Kilauea Lighthouse, Hanalei Lookout overlooking the taro fields of Hanalei Valley, and a walk along Hanalei Pier.

The afternoon allows time to explore Ching Young Village Marketplace, with its relaxed mix of local shops and cafés.

Day 3 Kauai’s South Shore – Plantations, Canyons & Coastal Towns
​The southern side of Kauai reveals a different landscape shaped by plantations and dramatic canyon views.

  • ​ We begin with a visit to Kilohana Plantation, once a working sugar estate, where we enjoy a historic train ride through orchards and farmland.

  • From there, we continue to the coast to explore Poipu Beach, a warm shoreline where Hawaiian monk seals are sometimes seen resting on the sand.

  • Next, we stop at Spouting Horn, a natural lava blowhole where seawater shoots upward through the rocks with a deep echoing sound.

  • We also visit Hanapepe Town, a small historic community connected to Kauai’s plantation era.

  • The day concludes at Waimea Canyon, often called the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,”where red cliffs and deep valleys stretch across the island’s interior.

Day 4: Kauai to Oahu – Ocean Morning & Island Flight

  • We begin the morning with a boat tour along the coast of Kauai, offering views of the island’s cliffs and shoreline from the Pacific.

  • Afterwards, we transfer to the airport for our flight to Oahu, continuing the journey to Hawaii’s most vibrant island.

  • Upon arrival, we settle into our hotel and enjoy the change of scenery from the quiet landscapes of Kauai to the energy of Honolulu and Oahu’s southern coast.


Day 5: Oahu – Hanauma Bay & Snorkeling

  • We visit Hanauma Bay, one of Oahu’s most beautiful marine reserves. Those who wish may enjoy snorkeling among tropical fish, while others can simply take in the views from the volcanic crater above the bay.

  • In the evening, we gather at Chabad House in Honolulu to welcome Shabbat together and enjoy a Kosher Shabbat dinner.


Day 6: Shabbat with the Local Community

  • We spend Shabbat together with the Jewish community at Chabad House in Honolulu, enjoying services, shared meals, and time to slow the rhythm of the journey.

  • The day offers space for conversation, rest, and the relaxed atmosphere of Shabbat in the islands

Day 7 : Oahu – Pearl Harbor & Honolulu History

  • On this day we explore an important chapter of American and Pacific history with a visit to Pearl Harbor, where the events of 1941 changed the course of World War II.

  • We continue to Downtown Honolulu, where historic buildings reflect the era of the Hawaiian Kingdom and the island’s later development.

  • The day also includes a stop at Punchbowl Crater, the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, offering panoramic views over Honolulu.

  • Later, we visit Waikiki, one of Hawaii’s most famous beaches, with time to walk along the shoreline and enjoy the ocean views.

  • The day concludes with a hands-on Hawaiian cooking class, exploring local flavors and ingredients.


Day 8 :Oahu’s North Shore – Pineapples, Coffee & Island Farms
On this day we'll explore the agricultural side of Oahu.

  • ​We begin at the Dole Plantation, where we learn about Hawaii’s pineapple heritage and its role in the island’s history.

  • Along the way we stop at a Botanical Garden, visit a local coffee farm for tastings, and see how macadamia nuts are grown and processed.

  • The day continues to the famous North Shore, known for its powerful winter surf and long stretches of coastline.


Day 9: Oahu’s East Side – Scenic Lookouts & Island Flavors

  • We begin at Kapiolani Park, one of Honolulu’s oldest and most beautiful parks, located at the foot of Diamond Head.

  • From there, we stop at Diamond Head Lookout, offering sweeping views of the coastline and the Pacific.

The drive continues along Makapuʻu, one of Oahu’s most scenic coastal roads, followed by a visit to Pali Lookout, where strong trade winds sweep across the mountain pass.

Day 10:Oahu – Kualoa Valley & Farewell Celebration

  • We visit Kualoa Ranch, one of the most beautiful valleys on Oahu, surrounded by dramatic green mountains and known as a filming location for many famous movies.

  • Later, we stop at Ala Moana Center, Honolulu’s open-air shopping destination overlooking the ocean.

  • In the evening, we gather for a Farewell Dinner, celebrating the experiences and friendships formed during our journey through Hawaii.

    Day 11: A Final Morning by the Ocean

  • Our final morning offers time to enjoy the beach or pool, relax, and take in the last views of the Pacific.

  • After breakfast, we prepare for departure.

  • Hotel check-out: 11:00 AM

Daily tefilot are held together as a group — Shacharit, Mincha, and Maariv — creating a sense of connection throughout the journey.
