Itinerary:
Days 1-3: We start our tour acclimating in the "City of the Clouds"; La Paz. We will tour the city, wandering through the surreal landscapes of Moon Valley, stroll colonial plazas and winding streets, and explore the famous Witches’ Market. Of course, we'll also see the city from the air on the iconic city cable car system! We will spend Shabbat at the lovely Chabad of La Paz, before setting off into the heart of the country on Sunday morning.
Day 4: In the morning we fly to Sucre, Bolivia’s beautiful constitutional capital and one of the country’s most historically significant cities. We will tour the elegant city bathed in white, before having a more relaxed evening ahead of an epic five day stretch.
Day 5: Start with the drive to Potosi, Bolivia's most iconic mining city. We will then tour the mines, learning the country's sometimes dark mining history. From Potosi, we will drive through the remarkable landscapes that lead to Uyuni, the gateway to the famous Uyuni Salt Flats.
Days 6-8: Welcome to the highlight of the tour: A three-day extravaganza of natural beauty as we explore the salt flats and the Altiplano of Bolivia. Colourful alpine lagoons, Andes wildlife, jaw-droppingly clear night skies, humbling mountain landscapes, barren deserts, the "Train Cemetery", and of course, the Uyuni Salt Flats.
Day 9-11: On Friday morning we will fly back to La Paz for Shabbat. In the afternoon, we will be treated to the otherworldly landscapes of Valle de las Animas. After another uplifting shabbos, and a hearty parting dinner, the main tour will end on Sunday morning... but stay for our awesome add-on week!
Add-on week: Adventures and Adrenaline around La Paz:
Day 1: Enjoy a refreshing hike through Palca Canyon.
Day 2: A packed day. We will start with biking the iconic "Death Road". Don't worry, safety measures have been immensely updated in recent decades, making this a safe, but definitely adrenaline-fueling activity. After our ride, we will then have a guided tour of La Senda Verde Wildlife Refuge, where rescued monkeys, parrots, spectacled bears, and other native animals are cared for in a beautiful natural setting.
Days 3-5: We will visit and explore the tradition and legend-seeped Lake Titicaca, which holds the title of the world's highest navigable lake. Hikes, anceint ruins, charming traditional villages, sunsets, and boat rides will make these two days and nights an unforgettable part of your tour experience. We will return to La Paz for an afternoon to rest up before another uplifting Shabbat at Chabad of La Paz.
Day 6: Shabbat at Chabad of La Paz.
Day 7: Our final day combines some of Bolivia’s most stunning natural scenery with one of its most unique cultural traditions. We begin with an excursion to the Condoriri region, home to breathtaking glacial lakes set beneath dramatic snow-capped peaks. The hike offers incredible views of the Cordillera Real mountain range and showcases the raw beauty of Bolivia’s high-altitude wilderness. In the evening*, we’ll attend the famous Cholita Wrestling matches; An extremely unique experience that combines colour, energy, and Andean tradition.
Day 8: The tour ends.

Kashrut & dining
Enjoy authentic Bolivian cuisine prepared by a talented local chef. To ensure the highest standards of kashrut, all meals will be prepared under the supervision of our Mashgiach, guaranteeing that every dish is 100% Glatt Kosher.
With the help of the local Chabad, we've put together an amazing meal plan with breakfast buffets, fresh and portable lunches, snacks throughout the day (mostly the incredible local fruit), and hearty, filling, hot dinners. When we cook in hotel kitchens, we ensure proper kashering and we use our own kitchenware on kashered or properly covered surfaces. We will be using primarily disposable crockery and cutlery. Though sometimes challenging, when possible, we will endeavor to incorporate local dishes into our kosher menu, bringing Bolivia's culinary culture, to kosher.
For any questions or inquiries about diets or kosher, please feel free to contact me.
Religious life & Shabbat
Our tours are thoughtfully designed to make sure adventure does not come at the expense of religion.
There will be free time in the mornings to daven and wrap teffillin. Candle lights will be provided for Friday night. Unfortunately, being a small tour, there won't be minyanim during the week. On Shabbos, we will daven at Chabad of La Paz, whether there will be a minyan or not is beyond our control, though we certainly hope there will be.
