Begin in Azemmour, a peaceful whitewashed town located beside the Oum Er-Rbia River. Spend approximately one hour exploring the historic Jewish Mellah, an abandoned synagogue and the Jewish cemetery, which reflect the town’s long tradition of coexistence.
Continue through Azemmour’s Portuguese heritage areas, including its 16th-century fortress walls, church ruins, old gates and colonial architecture. Enjoy views over the river and learn about the town’s cultural and spiritual history.
