The multi-storey, air-conditioned lodge overlooking a private waterhole offers 5 luxury suites comprising of 2 suites with king-size extra-length beds and 3 two-bedroom suites with king-size extra-length beds and 2 single beds and 1 bathroom fitted with baths and showers, as well as outdoor showers. Guests can relax in the spacious main lodge area which offers comfortable seating in front of the fireplace or TV, a photographic studio loft and an indoor dining area.

The living area opens onto the covered private patio with an outdoor dining table overlooking the inviting, heated swimming pool and sun loungers, and from here guests can enjoy the scenery and view the roaming game. As night falls guests can relax around the firepit and watch the starry skies.

While the kiddies are well cared for in our games room, float in our rimflow pool overlooking our famous private waterhole and the 360-degree view of the surrounds … and wind down under a starlit sky in front of a roaring fire. We are delighted to welcome Kosher guests "” our lodge is Jewish-owned, and we are happy to accommodate specific requirements. While we do not currently have a fully Kosher kitchen, we are more than willing to work with you to ensure that our guests' needs are met for each booking.

Please note that we do not serve any pork products at the lodge. We also have a Kosher grill available for our Boma and can provide Kosher meat upon request.

Bush Walks

Step out on an exciting exploration with us, and have the opportunity to engage with our experienced, highly-qualified guides for the opportunity to learn more about the surrounding flora and walk amidst the spectacular wildlife that inhibits this majestic South African reserve.

Children under the age of 16 years may not partake in bush walks due to safety reasons and adults over the age of 60 years require a medical fitness certificate in order to participate. These regulations are put in place to ensure your safety as this is our first priority given the nature of our environment.

Massage Treatments

Enjoy a massage treatment in the comfort and privacy of your suite or on the Sundeck with a gentle breeze blowing over your shoulders while you relinquish your mind to the tranquil wilderness surrounding you….

Children of all ages are welcome at NAKO Safari Lodge.

Taking the time to reimagine a wild adventure from a child's perspective allows us to tailor our children's' program to suit their individual needs, because just like no zebras have the same stripes, no two children are alike. So, yes, we do have a wonderful children's program, but it does not follow a strict timetable. We reinvent our children's program daily to immerse your child into their natural surroundings and inspire them to really look and learn about this magical environment around them.

Should you wish to have a private vehicle for your family safari this can be arranged at an additional cost and subject to availability.

Children's Games Room

A children's games room is available with loads of fun-filled activities including a Pool Table, Table Tennis Table, Air Hockey, board games and much more. A childminding service is available by prior arrangement at an additional cost.
