Jewish Heritage and Local Landmarks

The Once neighborhood is the historic center of Sephardic and Mizrahi Jewish life in Buenos Aires. Within a short walk from the restaurant, visitors can find several historic synagogues and educational institutions that have served the community for decades. The proximity to the AMIA (Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina) building on Pasteur Street adds a layer of historical significance to the area.

For those observing daily prayers, several minyanim are available nearby, including those at the nearby Agudath Israel facilities. The area is also home to various Hebrew bookshops and Judaica stores, making it a convenient hub for Jewish travelers to stock up on religious supplies or gifts while staying in the Argentine capital.

Beyond the Jewish landmarks, the neighborhood is a bustling commercial center. The nearby Abasto Shopping mall, built inside a magnificent former vegetable market, offers a modern contrast to the traditional storefronts of Paso and Tucumán streets. It also houses the only kosher McDonald's outside of Israel, further cementing the area's reputation as a destination for observant visitors.
