Gostijo is a Glatt Kosher restaurant, located in the heart of Athens, in the up-and-coming neighborhood of Psiri. We offer traditional Sephardic Mediterranean dishes in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is lovingly prepared with carefully chosen ingredients following recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation during centuries.
Enjoy our rich flavors or dine al fresco in a cozy and tastefully decorated surrounding, with an atmospheric courtyard available during summer months and join us in our occasional events with live Greek and Ladino music.
About the provider
We always thought that the Athenian culinary scene was missing a Jewish Kosher restaurant. Since our arrival in Greece in 2001 to establish the Chabad Center, we had many requests for Kosher dining options. So we set out to establish a Kosher restaurant.
But we felt it had to do more than offer delicious and unique cuisine. It had to share an entire culture.
The result is Gostijo: a culinary exploration of the Sephardic Cuisine of the Mediterranean Jews, offering traditional and characteristics delicacies from Spain, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, Greece and other countries.

Getting there
From Syntagma Square: Go down Ermou St. until Monastiraki Square and continue as below.
From Monastiraki Square: Take Ermou St. in the direction of Thisio (not in direction of Syntagma). Turn right on Karaiskaki St. (there is a hotel called Pella Inn at the corner). The second street to your left is Aisopou.
From the metro: Take the green line (number 1) Pireos "“ Kifissia, or the blue line (number 1) Egaleo "“ Doukisis Plakentias, and get off at Monastiraki station. Then Follow the directions above.
