Home · Contact · List your business About this listing Dini's Kosher Restaurant serves as the primary culinary hub for the Jewish community and travelers in Beijing. Located in the Chaoyang District, this establishment offers a unique dining experience by providing the only consistent kosher dining infrastructure in the Chinese capital. Operated in conjunction with Chabad of Beijing, the restaurant serves a dual role as both a community gathering place and a reliable source for strictly kosher meals in a city where such options are otherwise limited.
The restaurant operates with a dynamic schedule that caters to different needs throughout the day and week. From daytime takeaway services managed through their commercial prep-kitchen to themed evening menus, visitors can find a variety of cuisines ranging from fresh sushi to traditional BBQ. Whether you are a business traveler in need of a quick lunch or a family looking for a full Shabbat dinner experience, this venue provides a critical service for anyone observing kashrut while visiting China.
About the area Situated on Fang Yuan Xi Lu, Dini's Kosher Restaurant is conveniently positioned next to the south gate of Si De Park in the Chaoyang District. This area is known for being a major international hub within Beijing, housing many of the city's foreign embassies and international schools. The restaurant is located at the Chabad Beijing center, making it a central point for Jewish life in the city.
Travelers will find the location accessible from many of Beijing’s major hotel districts in the northeast. Being anchored at a Chabad location ensures that guests are not only close to kosher food but also near a center for Jewish communal activity, including the Ganeinu International School. Its proximity to the airport expressway also makes it a practical stop for those arriving in or departing from the city who need to secure kosher provisions.
Nearby Jewish landmarks The restaurant's location in the Chaoyang District places it within reach of several key Beijing landmarks. Visitors often combine a meal at Dini's with a stroll through the neighboring Si De Park, a peaceful green space popular with local families. For those looking for broader sightseeing, the district is home to many embassies and the 798 Art District, a thriving hub of contemporary Chinese art and culture.
While Beijing does not have a traditional Jewish quarter or "ghetto" like many European cities, the Chaoyang District has evolved into the central hub for the modern Jewish community and international residents. The presence of the Chabad House and Ganeinu International School creates a communal focal point where visitors can often find information about local prayer times or community events. Additionally, the nearby Lido area offers a variety of international shopping and amenities, making it a convenient base for travelers staying in the northern part of the city.
What to expect Dining at Dini's is a structured experience that changes depending on the day of the week. During the daytime, from Monday to Thursday until 5:00 PM, the focus is on takeaway and delivery. These orders are prepared at their commercial kitchen located at the nearby Ganeinu International School, ensuring that those working or touring during the day can have fresh meals delivered to their locations.
In the evenings, the atmosphere shifts to an in-house dining experience with specific culinary themes. Sundays offer a dairy brunch and sushi, while the rest of the week leans toward meaty options. Tuesday and Thursday nights are popular for their BBQ menu, which includes rib steak, 100% beef burgers, and grilled chicken. On Wednesday evenings, guests can enjoy a dedicated pasta bar alongside the standard meat and fish set menu.
For Shabbat, the restaurant transforms into a communal space. Following Friday night and Saturday morning services at the Chabad center, visitors can participate in organized Shabbat meals. For those who prefer to remain in their own accommodations, Shabbat food packages are available for order.
