About the area

Found at Beit Lehem Road 51, this establishment is positioned in a vibrant part of Jerusalem that bridges the gap between the historic Baka and Emek Refaim neighborhoods. This area is a staple of the Jerusalem Jewish community, known for its high concentration of English-speaking immigrants and a diverse array of synagogues representing various nusachim.

Public transportation to this section of Jerusalem is frequent, with several bus lines connecting the neighborhood to the Western Wall (Kotel), the Central Bus Station, and the city center. The location is particularly convenient for those staying in the Southern Jerusalem hotel district or in the many holiday rentals found throughout the German Colony and Talpiot.

Situated on Beit Lehem Road, the pizzeria is surrounded by some of Jerusalem's most distinctive cultural and religious landmarks. A short walk leads to the historic First Station (HaTachana HaRishona) complex, a hub of activity that frequently hosts seasonal events and markets. For those seeking spiritual space, the nearby Ramban Synagogue and various Chabad centers in the area provide regular minyanim and Torah classes for residents and visitors alike.

The neighborhood is also home to the Jerusalem Cinematheque and the scenic Sherover-Haas Promenade, which offers one of the most famous panoramic views of the Old City and the Judean Desert. Many visitors enjoy picking up a meal from American Pie and walking toward these open green spaces for an outdoor dining experience during the cooler evening hours.

History enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to the historic German Colony and the Mishkenot Sha’ananim neighborhood, the first Jewish neighborhood built outside the Old City walls. The area’s blend of old-world stone architecture and modern amenities makes it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll before or after a meal.
