Carve Bistro is a new kosher steakhouse on River Avenue in Lakewood, NJ, designed for an evening out. Dinner here is all about steaks, fish and a dedicated cocktail menu.

Start with small plates such as beef carpaccio, smoked short ribs, duck confit gnocchi or lamb dumplings, or share a BBQ pulled beef flatbread and brisket tacos. For the main course choose from ribeye, filet mignon, prime rib, a cowboy steak or the tomahawk, or go for duck à l'orange, baby chicken, salmon or a prime burger. Finish with chocolate soufflé, crème brûlée, tiramisu or biscuit-and-halva cake.

Carve is open for dinner Sunday to Thursday and is closed on Friday and Saturday. Reservations are made through the restaurant's website, and booking ahead is a good idea. Supervised by the Kashrut Council of Lakewood (KCL).
