Ba'Ghetto
Kosher Roman-Jewish meat restaurant in Rome's Ghetto

About
Ba'Ghetto is the original restaurant of the Ba'Ghetto family, on Via del Portico d'Ottavia, the main street of the old Jewish Ghetto in Rome. If you are searching for a kosher restaurant in Rome near the Great Synagogue, this is one of the best-known addresses, with modern dining rooms and outside tables looking onto the ancient Portico d'Ottavia.
The menu mixes Roman-Jewish and Middle Eastern cooking: fried carciofi alla giudia, kosher versions of Roman pastas such as carbonara with smoked goose and amatriciana, couscous, kebab, baked lamb with potatoes and grilled meats, with vegetarian options too. As a meat restaurant it serves no dairy. The wine list has more than a hundred kosher labels from Italy, Israel and beyond.
Ba'Ghetto is open for lunch and dinner from Sunday to Thursday, for lunch on Friday, and on Saturday evening after Shabbat. Shabbat meals are served by reservation. The restaurant is kosher under the control of the Rabbinate of Rome.
