About

Montpellier is a French-inspired kosher fine-dining restaurant at 800 Chestnut Ridge Road in Chestnut Ridge, just outside Monsey, New York. If you are looking for an upscale kosher restaurant in Monsey for a special evening, this is the Rotkopf family's restaurant, with Executive Chef Michel Abramson in the kitchen.

The menu takes a French approach to kosher meat: seared tuna and beef carpaccio, duck à l'orange, pistachio-crusted lamb chops, bourbon-glazed salmon, and classic cuts such as chateaubriand, filet mignon and bone-in rib steak. A full bar offers wines, spirits and crafted cocktails.

Montpellier serves dinner from Sunday to Thursday and is closed on Shabbat; reservations are recommended. It is under the hashgacha of the CRC (Hisachdus); chicken is KJ, Alle or Pelleh, meat is Salomon and Alle, and all classic cuts are Bais Yosef. The bar follows the cRc Chicago list.
