אודות האזור The town of Surfside is nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, just south of Bal Harbour. This location is world-renowned for its dense Jewish population and its accessibility to high-end kosher amenities. Many Jewish families choose this area because of the infrastructure that supports a Torah-observant lifestyle outside of major metropolitan hubs like New York or Jerusalem.
Being located on Collins Avenue places the French Chabad of Florida within reach of major luxury hotels and the beautiful coastline. The neighborhood is known for its safety and its quiet, family-oriented atmosphere. For travelers, this means staying in a location where one can find a Minyan or a kosher snack within a few blocks.
The surrounding streets are home to a vibrant mix of Sephardic and Ashkenazic communities, creating a rich atmosphere of Jewish heritage. The local infrastructure includes specialized schools, community centers, and a wide array of kosher-certified restaurants that cater to various levels of kashrut observance.
אתרים יהודיים בקרבת מקום Surfside is a premier destination for those seeking a Jewish lifestyle in a beachside setting. Within walking distance, you will find several significant landmarks, including the 'The Shul' of Bal Harbour, one of the most prominent synagogues in the region. The proximity to Bal Harbour Shops also provides luxury shopping and dining experiences for international visitors.
The neighborhood is exceptionally walkable, which is ideal for pedestrians on Shabbat and Jewish holidays. There is a well-established Eruv encompassing the Surfside, Bal Harbour, and Bay Harbor Islands areas, providing families with meaningful convenience. The nearby beach offers a serene environment for contemplation and relaxation.
For those interested in additional amenities, there are public Mikvaot (ritual baths) within driving distance, and the area is dotted with numerous kosher establishments, from high-end steakhouses to casual bakeries.
