Shabbat Times in West Hempstead

Halachic note

West Hempstead follows the local custom of lighting candles 18 minutes before sunset. The Shabbat-end time shown uses tzeit hakochavim (8.5°). A 72-minute alternative is also shown for those who follow that opinion.

West Hempstead is a vibrant, tight-knit Modern Orthodox Jewish community in Nassau County, Long Island. Its robust infrastructure includes a community eruv, numerous synagogues, and a wide array of kosher food establishments, making it a popular hub for Shabbat-observant families.
