Shabbat Times in New City

Halachic note

New City follows the local custom of lighting candles 18 minutes before sunset. The Shabbat-end time shown uses tzeit hakochavim (8.5°). A 72-minute alternative is also shown for those who follow that opinion.

New City is a vibrant, family-friendly Modern Orthodox community in Rockland County with a robust eruv, multiple synagogues, and easy access to the extensive kosher amenities of nearby Monsey. Shabbat observance is central to the life of this welcoming and growing suburban enclave.
