Shabbat Times in Lugano

Halachic note

Lugano follows the local custom of lighting candles 18 minutes before sunset. The Shabbat-end time shown uses tzeit hakochavim (8.5°). A 72-minute alternative is also shown for those who follow that opinion.

Lugano has a small but active Italian-Swiss Jewish community centered around the Sinagoga Beth David. Shabbat observers should pre-arrange kosher meals and note there is no eruv; hotel options are available within walking distance of the shul in the city center.
