Koksijde follows the local custom of lighting candles 18 minutes before sunset. The Shabbat-end time shown uses tzeit hakochavim (8.5°). A 72-minute alternative is also shown for those who follow that opinion.

Koksijde is a popular summer holiday spot for Belgian and French Jews. While it lacks a year-round community, seasonal minyanim and pre-ordered kosher food from Antwerp are often available during peak months, especially from June to August.
