Halachic note

Dallas follows the local custom of lighting candles 18 minutes before sunset. The Shabbat-end time shown uses tzeit hakochavim (8.5°). A 72-minute alternative is also shown for those who follow that opinion.

The Dallas Jewish community is a large, vibrant, and growing population centered in the North Dallas and Richardson suburbs. Shabbat observance is well-supported by a large eruv, numerous synagogues, and a robust kosher infrastructure supervised by Dallas Kosher (DK).
