Shabbat Times in Champaign

Halachic note

Champaign follows the local custom of lighting candles 18 minutes before sunset. The Shabbat-end time shown uses tzeit hakochavim (8.5°). A 72-minute alternative is also shown for those who follow that opinion.

The Jewish community in Champaign-Urbana is anchored by the University of Illinois, with vibrant Shabbat experiences at the campus Hillel and Chabad centers. Visitors can find welcoming services and kosher meals, though planning is key due to the lack of an eruv or kosher restaurants.
