Halachic note

Barranquilla follows the local custom of lighting candles 18 minutes before sunset. The Shabbat-end time shown uses tzeit hakochavim (8.5°). A 72-minute alternative is also shown for those who follow that opinion.

Barranquilla is home to Colombia's largest Jewish community, a vibrant Sephardic hub centered in the El Prado neighborhood. Shabbat observance is focused on the Bet El Synagogue, and an eruv covers the main residential areas for a traditional experience.
