Shabbat Times in Avignon

Halachic note

Avignon follows the local custom of lighting candles 18 minutes before sunset. The Shabbat-end time shown uses tzeit hakochavim (8.5°). A 72-minute alternative is also shown for those who follow that opinion.

Avignon has a small but historically significant Jewish community centered around its beautiful 19th-century synagogue. Visitors should contact the synagogue in advance for service times and to inquire about Shabbat hospitality, as there are no kosher restaurants in the city.
