Shabbat Times in Albany

Halachic note

Albany follows the local custom of lighting candles 18 minutes before sunset. The Shabbat-end time shown uses tzeit hakochavim (8.5°). A 72-minute alternative is also shown for those who follow that opinion.

Albany is home to a historic Jewish community of 12,000, centered in the New Scotland Avenue area. For Shabbat, visitors will find synagogues, an eruv, and kosher takeout options at the local Price Chopper, all within a welcoming and established community setting.
