RESORT

The Trump National Doral Miami, located minutes from the renowned Miami Beaches and situated on the world-class Blue Monster Golf course, was purchased by the Trump Organization in June 2012.  The resort recently underwent a dramatic and comprehensive $250 Million Dollar renovation to recapture its early grandeur, restoring The Doral as one of the world’s top resort destinations.

Today, the prestigious 800-acre resort boasts a completely re-designed clubhouse, new Deluxe accommodations, luxurious event spaces, new restaurant concepts, redesigned championship golf courses, tennis courts, plus all new re-imagined recreational amenities and retail shops for guests and members to enjoy. Guests can rent bicycles or walk along the paths throughout the resort.

The Driving Range includes a state-of-the-art LED lighting system to allow guests to practice late into the evening.           • Exclusive to the industry, we will once again be presenting our large variety of fine Non-Mevushal, as well as Mevushal wines. Our in-house sommelier will be available during all dinners to make certain your wine compliments your dinner.
          • As we are sensitive to the specific dietary needs of our guests, we will happily accommodate individuals requiring alternate  dining options including: vegetarian, low-sodium, sugar-free, nut-free and gluten-free. Additionally, all dishes containing nuts will be clearly labeled.

          BASKETBALL PROGRAM: NEW FOR 2019!

          Daniel Tamir is former Israeli professional basketball player turned professional basketball coach now living in New York City. Tamir began his tenure as the Assistant Coach of the Yeshiva University Men's Basketball team in August of 2016. He also serves as the Assistant Coach of the Frisch Boys Varsity Basketball team and Directed Basketball summer sleep-away programs in the past five years.

          Tamir led his junior teams of the Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball Team and started his Professional career at the age of 18, playing for the professional Hapoel Men’s Basketball Team in 2009-10 and 2012-13 seasons, playing alongside numerous former and current NBA players. Daniel also represented Israel in the U16 and U18 national teams as the starting Center from 2005-2009. As well representing Israel in the Paris Nike Camp as one of the top European players.

          Since his retirement, Tamir has dedicated his time to develop professional players and young athletes and developed a reputation as a sought-after motivational speaker, coach and mentor. He has coached more than 1,500 basketball players around the globe, from all backgrounds and has helped the continuous success of the programs he is involved in.

          Daniel is joining VIPRAM for the first time presenting his basketball and sports program, which is open to all ages. After developing players in all of the different levels and ages, Daniel will inspire, motivate and make your Pesach experience second to none. With intense training, competitions and games for the entire family we ensure a well-rounded program.

          Our program includes tailored basketball training, strength and conditioning, as well as games and various competitions for everyone. As the younger kids will be inspired with both on and off the court training and life lessons, our adults will be able to enjoy their time while their children are maintaining a healthy routine, growing physically and spiritually throughout the holiday. Share your time playing with your kids in our afternoon games and see how they develop and flourish while enjoying a luxurious, relaxing vacation.

          RABBI DR. GIL S. PERL

          Rabbi Perl joined Kohelet Yeshiva as the Head of School and the Kohelet Foundation as the Chief Academic Officer in July 2014. Rabbi Perl moved from Memphis with his family where he served for seven years as the Dean of the Margolin Hebrew Academy/Feinstone Yeshiva of the South, a PreK-12 Modern Orthodox day school. Prior to his move to Memphis, Rabbi Perl served as an instructor of Modern Jewish History at Yeshiva University and as the Associate Head of School at Yeshiva University’s High School for Boys. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, his Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from Harvard University, and rabbinical ordination from Yeshiva University. As a Teaching Fellow at Harvard, Rabbi Perl was twice awarded Harvard’s prestigious Certificate of Distinction in Teaching, and in the spring of 2006, he was named Yeshiva University’s Lillian F. and William L. Silber Professor of the Year. He writes and lectures widely on topics relating to the history of Modern Jewry and contemporary Jewish education. He is the author of the book The Pillar of Volozhin: Rabbi Naftali Zvi Yehuda Berlin and the World of Nineteenth-Century Lithuanian Torah Scholarship, published by Academic Studies Press. Rabbi Perl is married to Melissa Perl, who serves as the Director of Judaic Studies at Kohelet; they have four children, including two Kohelet students in ninth and eleventh grade.

          RABBI ARTHUR SCHNEIER

          Rabbi Arthur Schneier, Senior Rabbi of Park East Synagogue in New York City and founder of its Day School, (Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School), has served this leading modern Orthodox congregation for over fifty years.  As Founder and President of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation (1965) he is internationally known for his leadership on behalf of religious freedom, human rights and tolerance is the only Rabbi to be awarded the U.S. Presidential Citizens Medal for “his service as an international envoy for four administrations” and “as a Holocaust survivor, devoting a lifetime to overcoming forces of hatred and intolerance,” and was recognized by the US Senate for his lifelong advocacy of inter-religious cooperation and peace. 

          DR. MICHAEL MAKOVSKY

          Michael Makovsky joined JINSA in 2013 as CEO. A U.S. national security expert, he has worked extensively on Iran’s nuclear program, the Middle East, and the intersection of international energy markets and politics with U.S. national security.

          From 2006-2013, Makovsky was the Foreign Policy Director for the Bipartisan Policy Center where he managed projects on a new U.S. policy toward Iran’s nuclear development, a new U.S. strategy toward Russia, how to augment U.S. Government capacity in stabilizing fragile states such as Yemen, devising a new bipartisan U.S. foreign policy, and how to make strategic public diplomacy an effective tool of U.S. foreign policy in Egypt and elsewhere.

          Makovsky served as special assistant in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and was Director of Essential Services in the Washington office of the Coalition Provisional Authority, the postwar Allied entity that governed Iraq, advising senior Defense, National Security Council and Energy officials on Iraqi and Middle Eastern energy policy. Prior to his work in the Pentagon, Makovsky worked as a senior energy market analyst for various investment firms, and is founder and president of MSM Consulting LLC, an energy and political risk consulting firm.

          Makovsky has written articles, op-eds and editorials on U.S. national security issues primarily involving the Middle East as well as energy markets, related to Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Israel and Yemen for The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, The Weekly Standard, and The New Republic, and been interviewed on CNBC, CNN, Fox, NPR, Voice of America (Persian), and other media. He is also author of Churchill’s Promised Land (Yale University Press), a diplomatic-intellectual history of Winston Churchill’s complex relationship with Zionism.

          Makovsky has a Ph.D. in diplomatic history from Harvard University, an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School, and a B.A. in history from the University of Chicago.

          RABBI ARI PERL

          Rabbi Ari Perl is the Vice President, Jewish Community Engagement & Multicultural Education at LiveOnNY. Rabbi Perl is a dynamic educator & organizational leader, who teaches sophisticated & stimulating topics to learners of varying backgrounds and skills. Skilled in Nonprofit Organizational Development, Teaching, and Public Speaking, Rabbi Perl is committed to building community by collaborating with religious and civic leaders that span the ideological and denominational spectrum. LiveOnNY helps save lives by educating the broader NY-area Jewish community about Organ Donation and counseling families of potential donors with religious, pastoral and cultural sensitivity.

          RABBI AVROHOM BRASHEVITSKY

          Rabbi Brashevitsky has resided in Doral for the past 12 years. Together with his family they serve as the founders and directors of the Chabad Jewish Center of Doral which provides a multitude of services to the Jewish population in the extended area. Prior to this post, Rabbi Brashevitzky served as Rabbi of several congregations in Miami Beach and Massachusetts. In addition, Rabbi Brashevitzky has served as a religious day school educator and principal for the past 17 years. Prior to that, as a Rabbinical student, Rabbi Brashevitzky traveled to the Ukraine in the former Soviet Union to help establish the Jewish communities in Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk. Rabbi Brashevitzky and his wife Zelda and children continuously look for creative means and ways to further serve the community at large.

          MELISSA PERL

          Melissa Perl is the Director of Limudei Kodesh at Kohelet Yeshiva High School outside of Philadelphia where she is responsible for all elements of Judaic Studies at the school including teacher supervision, curriculum development, and cultivating the religious development of the students.  A dynamic and much beloved teacher, Mrs. Perl has been teaching Tanach as well as AP Psychology in high schools for 17 years, first at Maimonides High School in Boston, then at the Frisch Yeshiva High School in New Jersey, and then at the Margolin Hebrew Academy/Feinstone Yeshiva of the South in Memphis, TN.   She earned her Bachelor's degree from Stern College for Women in both Judaic Studies and Psychology. She holds a Master’s Degree in Bible from Yeshiva University, certificates in Teacher Mentoring, Student Support, Differentiated Instruction, and Educational Technology, and has completed all but her dissertation for her Doctorate of Education.  

          ROCHEL HOLZKENNER

          Rochel is a mother of four children and the co-director of Chabad of Las Olas, Fla., serving the community of young professionals. She is a high-school teacher and a freelance writer—and a frequent contributor to Chabad.org. She lectures extensively on topics of Kabbalah and feminism, and their application to everyday life. Rochel holds an MS in Brain Based Learning from Nova SE University.

          RICHARD B. STONE

          Professor Richard Stone is on the faculty of Columbia University Law School, where he has held the Wilbur Friedman Chair in Tax Law since 1991. A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, Professor Stone began his career as a lawyer at the Washington, D.C. office of Covington and Burling.  He then served for four years as Assistant Solicitor General of the United States and was in charge of all tax cases in the Supreme Court in 1972-73.  By the age of thirty, Professor Stone had argued a dozen cases in the United States Supreme Court. Stone is also a venture capitalist. He is the chairman of NCSJ, which advocates for the Jewish communities in the 15 republics that emerged from the Soviet Union. He has served as Vice President and on the Executive Committee of the New York JCRC and currently chairs its Government Relations Commission. Stone was the chairman of the Institute for Public Affairs, the public policy arm of the Orthodox Union, from 1992 to 2002 and served on the board and Executive Committee of JCPA from 2005 to 2009. He also served as Mayor Rudy Giuliani's representative from Manhattan on the board of the City University of New York (CUNY) from 1997-2000.He currently serves as a member of the board of the Hebrew Free Loan Society, the America-Israel Friendship League, the American Zionist Movement and the New York Metropolitan Coordinating Council on Jewish Poverty. Originally from New Orleans, La., Prof. Stone lives in New York City and has four children.

          MARVIN E. BLUM

          Marvin Blum, an attorney and Certified Public Accountant, is Board Certified in Estate Planning & Probate Law and is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.  He earned his BBA (Highest Honors) in Accounting from The University of Texas in 1975, where he graduated first in his class and was named Ernst & Ernst Outstanding Student in Accounting.  Mr. Blum received his law degree (High Honors) from The University of Texas School of Law in 1978, where he graduated second in his class and was named the Prentice-Hall Outstanding Student in Taxation. Mr. Blum is known for creating customized, cutting-edge estate plans, now serving hundreds of high net worth families, several with a net worth exceeding $1 billion.  Mr. Blum was chosen as one of the “Nation’s Top 100 Attorneys” by New York’s Worth magazine, and was also named one of the Top 100 Super Lawyers in Texas by Thomson Reuters.  He was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers of America – Trusts & Estates.  Mr. Blum twice had the honor of asking questions to Warren Buffett at Berkshire-Hathaway Annual Meetings, attracting international media attention.  He is a highly sought-after speaker, has been quoted by The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times for his expertise on the estate tax and income tax and also serves on the Editorial Advisory Committee for Trusts & Estates Magazine.    Mr. Blum and his wife, Laurie, reside in Fort Worth, Texas.

          RACHELI ROSENBLATT

          Racheli Rosenblatt has extensive experience working with a diverse client population. She appreciates the unique life stage challenge of adolescence and young adulthood, specifically related to those struggling with history of or current non-conforming community/family behavior. Racheli currently maintains a private practice in Brooklyn, and NYC, working to create greater connection in a world of increased disconnection, between teens and parents.

          INFANT DAYCARE: Led by experienced and professional caregivers, relax with the knowledge that your littlest ones, ages 6 months to 2 years old are being cared for in a safe and warm environment, with a high ratio of staff to children.

          ​DAY CAMP: Older children, ages 3-12, eager to get out into the beautiful Miami sunshine and play, will depart on a spectacular Passover adventure. Our dedicated and  exuberant staff of experienced young professionals, will provide hours of stimulating activities, entertainment, and off-site trips, while prioritizing your child’s safety.
