Day 1 (Tu) Puntarenas, Costa Rica
Your luxurious yacht cruise begins in San Jose, Costa Rica where you’ll be transferred as a group (2hr drive) to your Emerald Cruises luxury yacht and embark on your discovery of Panama and Costa Rica’s West Coast.
Day 2 (We) Curú & Isla Tortuga, Costa Rica
The Curú National Wildlife Refuge and farm are situated in Nicoya Peninsula in north-west Costa Rica. Some of the country’s most beautiful beaches and protected bays can be found here. Costa Rica’s first private national wildlife refuge is an example of a successful sustainable development program. One can still see the cattle grazing as well as tropical fruits growing such as mangos.
You also will get to see Isla Tortuga, which is one of the top destinations in Costa Rica, just about an hour away from the shores of Nicoya Peninsula. Isla Tortuga boasts a perfect sandy beach with palm trees and clear waters. You can relax at the beach, enjoy a hike, or go snorkeling in the crystal waters.
Day 3 (Th) Quepos, Costa Rica
Quepos is a small, booming harbor town famous for being one of the best places for sport fishing as well as the gateway to the well-known Manuel Antonio National Park. As a tropical inlet backed by rainforest, it offers a variety of outdoor adventures. After the fall of the banana plantation that laid the foundations for the port, Quepos replaced its former industry with ecotourism – meaning that there are many other draws, including kayaking and canopy tours. Quepos is also frequented by many scientists and naturalists, who come to study this region’s fantastic biodiversity.
Day 4 (Fr) Isla Cebaco (Panama) / Golfito (Marina Golfito) Costa Rica
Cebaco Island is in the province of Veraguas and is part of the buffer zone of Coiba Island National Park. This is Panama’s third-largest island after Coiba Island and Isla del Rey. There are around 500 people living on the island nowadays, mainly distributed in communities in the north. Isla Cebaco is also known for its beaches.
Golfito Bay is a ‘gulf within a gulf’, known for its unspoiled landscape framed by lush mangroves of Corcovado and Piedras Blancas national parks. It is home to some of the richest biodiversity in the world and is located in one of the most vibrant destinations in Costa Rica, where eco-adventurers, boaters, surfers, and outdoor lovers come to explore and connect with nature through an array of fun and exciting activities. A hidden gem where the Costa Rican jungle meets the sea, Marina Golfito allows you to experience Costa Rica from a stunning new perspective .
Day 5 (Sa - Shabbat) Golfito (Marina Golfito) Costa Rica

In the afternoon we have developed a Shabbat friendly guided walking tour of the local area. After a magical Havdalah we depart to our next port of call.
Day 6 (Su) Plava del Muerto - Darien National Park Panama
The Darién National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site covering around 5,750 square kilometres. The park is among the largest and most precious protected areas in all of Central America. It covers up almost the entire Panama-Colombia border as well as a stretch to the Pacific. This park offers an exceptional variety of habitats – sandy beaches, rocky coasts, swamps, mangroves, and tropical forests – which makes it the perfect home for diverse wildlife. There are two indigenous tribes, for both Panama and Costa Rica, which live today on the park’s riverbanks
Day 7 (Mo) San Jose Island, Pearl Islands Panama
Today we venture into Isla San José, one of the privately owned Pearl Islands. It is also the second-largest island in the Las Perlas archipelago. Isla San José is home to a variety of wild animals such as exotic birds, deer, reptiles as well as wild pigs. There are over 50 beaches on Isla San José and this Pearl Island boasts a spectacular rocky shoreline on its north side.
Day 8 (Tu) Fuerte Amador, Panama City
Your time aboard your Emerald Cruises luxury yacht comes to an end in Fuentes Amador, Panama. After bidding farewell to the crew and your fellow guests, you will be transferred to the airport (1.5hr drive) for your return flight home or post-night program in Panama City.

Rav Ha Machshir – Rabbi Yizchak A. Fischer
We are happy to welcome Rabbi Yitzchak A. Fischer, as the cruise Rav Hammachshir. Rabbi Fischer “Yitzchak” is a graduate of The Rabbinical Ordination Program of Yeshivat Pirchai Shoshanim of Jerusalem Israel. He received his Smicha “Yoreh Yoreh” from Rabbis Daniel Chanan and HaRav HaDayan, Rabbi Yaakov Nisan Rosenthal Z”L of the Bet Din of Haifa, Israel. His extensive Halacha and “Kashrut”knowledge and experience started when he was a “shochet’s” assistant in his college years in Baltimore. Working with multiple Kashrut organizations as well as his Yorah Deah studies with Torah luminaries such as HaRav Menachem Mendel Feldman, Z”L; Harav Binyamin Stein (Israel) and Rav Chanan Shai Kristt, (USA and Israel) over many decades in Israel and the USA. This comprehensive base of study gives him a broad and unique perspective on Kashrut. His past hashgaot have been audited by renowned Kashrut organizations, such as the Star K’s kosher supervisor/inspector, and Torah Umsora’s kashrut supervisors.
The standards set for our river cruise meets the highest kashrut standards; All meat product are Halak also known as glatt kosher, all dairy Cholov Yisroel and Pas Yisroel for all breads and cakes.
Rabbi Shmuel (Stewart) Weiss
Rabbi Weiss was educated at the Bet Midrash L’Torah – Hebrew Theological College in Skokie, Illinois, where he received his Semicha and degrees in Hebrew Literature and Practical Rabbinics.
Rabbi Weiss served as Rabbi of congregations in Chicago and Dallas, Texas, and was also head Jewish chaplain at Rush Medical Center in Chicago before making Aliyah in 1992. Rabbi Weiss founded and directs the Jewish Outreach Center in Ra’anana, serving Olim through a network of religious and educational programs.
Rabbi Weiss is a regular columnist for the Jerusalem Post, and lectures frequently in Israel, the United States, England and South Africa. He regularly leads tours to places of interest around the world, and is a certified Mashgiach by the Rabbanut in Ra’anana. He is also a member of the Rabbinical Council of America and sits on the Ra’anana City Council.
Rabbi Weiss is married to the former Susie Klein of Cleveland, and they have 6 children. In 2010, they constructed the Ohel Ari Bet Knesset and Torah Learning Center in Ra’anana, in memory of their son, IDF Sgt. Ari Weiss HY”D, who was killed in battle against Hamas terrorists in 2002. Ohel Ari today has become the largest of the city’s 80 shuls.
Rabbi Weiss will be leading our minyanim, our Shabbat program and offering selected shiurim during the cruise.
